How do I add Extras to my trip with Alleysa and what should I know about them?
About Extras:
Extras are optional add-ons that enhance your trip, such as conveniences or gear. They are not required to book a vehicle.
Choosing Extras: You can select Extras when booking your trip or add/delete them up until the trip starts. To modify Extras, go to the Trips tab, select your trip, and choose “Change trip.”
Types of Extras:
Conveniences: Includes options like Prepaid refuel, Prepaid EV charge, or Unlimited mileage. Note: No refund is provided for unused fuel with Prepaid refuel. If you purchase a Pet Extra, the host may still charge a violation fee for cleaning issues if there’s evidence of misuse.
Gear: Physical items like child safety seats, picnic baskets, bicycles, kayaks, camping gear, and coolers. It is recommended to use your own child safety seats and seek professional help for installation if needed.
Cost of Extras:
Hosts set the price for Extras, which may be per day or per trip. The cost of Extras will be shown as a separate line item on the checkout screen.
If an Extra is not provided by the host at the start of the trip, you’ll receive a refund for that item.
Protection Plan Coverage:
Extras are not covered by any protection plan. Alleysa is not responsible for the condition or any issues related to Extras. Any reimbursement for lost or damaged Extras must be handled directly with the host, outside of Alleysa’s involvement.
Prohibited Extras:
Hosts cannot offer illegal, lewd, or inappropriate items; food, alcohol, drugs, weapons; rental properties; deposits or convenience fees; tows or tow services; or any other items that violate Alleysa’s Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
If you see any prohibited Extras, report the listing by tapping “Report this listing” on the Vehicle page.
