What should you do if you want to extend your trip, and what are the costs and limitations involved?
To extend your trip, request a later return time through the system. Your host has 12 hours to respond. If accepted, you’ll be notified, and any additional balance will be charged. If the host doesn’t respond, declines, or if the system blocks the request, you must return the vehicle at the originally scheduled time or immediately if the request was made after the trip ended.
Notes
Extension Validity: An extension is only valid if requested through the system and accepted by the host. Keeping the vehicle beyond the scheduled time without approval may lead to additional charges and void protection.
Distance Limit Changes: The distance limit adjusts based on the new trip length and the host’s set limits. For extensions of less than 30 days, the daily limit applies; for extensions of 30 days or more, the monthly limit applies if set by the host.
Cost of Extension: The cost varies by the length of the extension and host pricing. Discounts may apply, and all new costs will be displayed as separate line items before you finalize the request.
Reasons for Extension Failure: You may be unable to extend due to insufficient funds, vehicle unavailability, another booking, or a declined or unanswered request.
