What are the guidelines for paying for parking when renting a vehicle, and how can renters be reimbursed for parking fees?

Published:

When renting a vehicle on Alleysa, some hosts may house their vehicles in or deliver them to paid parking facilities. Hosts are required to disclose in the vehicle listing’s Description field whether the renter must pay any parking fees at those facilities.
To check if a parking fee is required, renters should look at the Description field of the vehicle listing. If the host does not disclose the parking fee requirement in the Description field, and the renter incurs a parking fee, they should save the receipt and contact Alleysa via chat for a refund.
Hosts have two options for covering parking fees:

Reimbursement: The host may notify the renter through Alleysa messaging that they will reimburse the parking fee after the trip ends. Renters should save the parking receipt and contact customer support once the trip has ended, providing a photo of the receipt. The agent will verify the host’s note in Alleysa messaging and reimburse the renter.
Payment Up Front: The host may leave the parking fee amount in cash in the vehicle and inform the renter where to find it.
